Authorities say Luis Andrades-Garcia was driving at more than 100 mph when he crashed his car into the rear of a tractor trailer.

Police have identified a man killed last night when his speeding car slammed into a tractor-trailer on the Maine Turnpike in Lewiston. The state Medical Examiner's Office has identified the victim as Lius Andrades-Garcia, 35, of Portland.

Authorities say Andrades-Garcia was traveling at more than 100 miles per hour when the vehicle struck guard rails and the rear of a tractor trailer. The car the overturned and caught fire.

Police say they received a report of an erratic driver, and Andrades-Garcia then passed a trooper in Auburn a short while later. The trooper attempted to pull him car over, but the car crashed moments later.

Authorities say Andrades-Garcia did not have a driver's license and had served time recently at the Maine Correctional Center in Windham on a drug conviction. The driver of the tractor trailer, Aaron Bolduc, 47, of St. Albans, was not injured.
