As the Israeli military offensive in Gaza enters its second week, about 80 members of Maine's Jewish community gathered in Portland Thursday night to hear an Israeli official's perspective on the conflict.  People were there to show support for Israel and their hope for a peaceful outcome. But some attendees also questioned  Israel's response to the Hamas rocket attacks.
