| Alfredo Corchado of the Dallas Morning News is the latest recipient of Colby College's Lovejoy award. The award was named for Elijah Parish Lovejoy, a Maine native and Colby grad who was killed while defending his printing press from a pro-slavery mob. Corchado was honored for his courage in an similarly dangerous reporting environment: Mexico's drug wars. |
