| Maine economist Charlie Colgan is predicting just 0.5 percent job growth for next year, and 1.5 percent in 2014. Colgan, who teaches at the Muskie School for Public Service at the University of Southern Maine, talked recently with MPBN's Irwin Gratz about why Maine hasn't shared in the somewhat faster national recovery. Productivity is one area where Colgan thinks Maine improves as well as other states, but he says the payoff lags. |
