Democratic Maine Legislature Likely to Face off With Republican Governor in 2013
01/02/2013   Reported By: A.J. Higgins

Maine lawmakers will convene on Jan. 8 for a new legislative session in which Democrats will control the agenda. Job creation, education reforms, revenue shortfalls and Medicaid spending are all areas that will be explored in the months ahead. Meanwhile Republican Gov. Paul LePage will have veto power over proposals he does not favor, forcing Democrats and Republicans to seek collaborative strategies whenever possible. MPBN Bureau Chief A.J. Higgins joins Ed Morin for a closer look.
