| Maine Lawmaker Applauds Release of 'Sunshine Act' Rule |

| A long-awaited healthcare reform measure included in the federal Affordable Care Act has been unveiled. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services announced the long-awaited rule, know as the "Sunshine Act," on Friday. The aim, essentially, is to disclose the financial relationship between drugmakers and doctors. A key advocate for this national measure has been Democratic Maine state legislator Sharon Treat, who's also executive director of the National Legislative Association on Prescription Drug Prices. Treat spoke with Maine Things Considered host Tom Porter. |
