Rory Holland was convicted in 2010 of killing 21-year-old Derek Greene and 19-year-old Gage Greene in June 2009 as they walked in front of his home.

ALFRED, Maine (AP) _ A Maine judge has awarded a $2.4 million judgment to the mother of two young men who were shot in Biddeford in 2009.

Rory Holland was convicted in 2010 of killing 21-year-old Derek Greene and 19-year-old Gage Greene in June 2009 as they walked in front of his home.

On Friday, a judge awarded Tammy Cole $2.4 million in her wrongful death lawsuit against Holland.

The judgment includes $720,000 for wages the two men would have made in their lifetimes; $200,000 for pain and suffering; $1 million for her loss; and $500,000 in punitive damages.

Holland told the Portland Press Herald that she was pleased with the judgment but that she doesn't expect to see much of the money because Holland is serving a life sentence in prison.
