A $4.5 million bond proposal to fund a new science building at Maine Maritime Academy is headed for passage. The Bangor Daily News is projecting a win for the measure.
So far, it's winning support 59 to 41, with 87 percent of precincts reporting.
Four other bond proposals, totaling $145 million, also won approval. The biggest is a $100 million proposal for road and bridge projects.
The others include $14 million to overhaul armories around the state, $15.5 million to improve University of Maine System facilities and $15.5 million to improve classrooms throughout the Maine Community College System.
