"Maine Live" made its first-ever appearance in Boothbay Harbor on Saturday, August 8, 2009 to webcast a concert by New England native son Livingston Taylor, live at the Boothbay Opera House. Just like his appearance last summer in this same venue, Taylor's performance was sold out. Taylor, who is a professor at Berklee College of Music in Boston, invited one of his students to join him onstage for part of the second set.
First Set (Total time -- 39:00) Second Set (Total time -- 55:55)
Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Ani DiFranco graciously agreed to let MPBN stream the audio from her April 18, 2009 concert at the Skowhegan Opera House, and the audio from the entire concert is available here. We've also got audio from the short but impressive opening sets by Maine's Emilia Dahlin, who kicked off the show, followed by Nebraska's Joshua James.
PARENTAL ADVISORY: Some of the language in Ani DiFranco's set might not be suitable for young listeners.
We're pleased to announce that Patty Larkin has agreed to let MPBN post the audio from her concert at Portland's One Longfellow Square on Friday, January 23, 2009. MPBN also streamed the show over the Internet live as it took place, but if you weren't around to hear it (either online or better yet in person), MPBN has it right here:
