Larkin is on tour in support of her new CD called “Watch the Sky,” her tenth overall and one that is, in the words of leading New York Times music critic Jon Pareles, “profound” and full of “richly contemplative tracks about solitude and togetherness, open vistas and spiritual quests.” Larkin has performed countless times in Maine over her 20-year career, but this is the first time one of her live shows in the state was accessible a worldwide audience as it happened, or made available after the fact for the listening enjoyment of those who were there as well as those who weren't.
Larkin performed a combination of new songs from her new CD and old fan favorites like "The Book I'm Not Reading" and "At the Mall" (and on the latter channeling a combination of Carmen Miranda, Marlene Dietrich and Ethel Merman) as well taking requests from the audience that are clearly audible on the recording.
* Post-concert audio will be made available in both Windows Media and MP3 formats.
