MPBN is making a few adjustments to the Radio programming schedule starting the weekend of July 5th.
Friday Night Jazz is moving to Sunday nights from 9:00 PM to Midnight replacing Selected Shorts and American Routes which are leaving our schedule. The new show title will be Jazz Tonight with Rich Tozier and local Jazz will expand to a full three hours. Rich will be available on line on Friday evenings as well.
In Tune by Ten will be expanding to the Friday night slot from 8 PM through 11 PM and replacing Says You which will also be leaving our schedule. The new segment will be called In Tune Friday Evening with Sara Willis. Sara is now on more than ever: In Tune Weeknights from 10 PM to 11 PM, In Tune Friday Night from 8 PM to 11 PM, and In Tune Sunday Morning from 10 AM to Noon.
MPBN Radio’s programming schedule has been adjusted continually over the years; every favorite program was new at one time. Members and listeners have made it clear to us what their favorite and most valued programs and formats are, and these adjustments are in line with those preferences. We simply cannot keep every single program in our schedule, even at different times.
MPBN understands that many listeners enjoy more than just one programming format; there remains significant variety in our schedule. With these adjustments MPBN is actually increasing the number of hours jazz is aired each week and expanding the number of hours Sara Willis is on air.
Says You, American Routes, and Selected Shorts have moved around over the last few years in our schedule, and have not found a solid place due to audience preferences and changing priorities. Select programs can still be heard on-line:
Please listen for a while and then let us know what you think.
