Conversations With Maine host Frank Ferrel visits with the Lieutenant Governor of New Brunswick, the Honorable Graydon Nicholas. A member of the Maliseet nation, Nicholas named the Lieutenant Governor of New Brunswick in September.

Nicholas earned a Bachelor of Science degree from St. Francis Xavier University and, in 1971, a Bachelor of Law degree from the University of New Brunswick, becoming the first First Nations person in Atlantic Canada to earn a law degree. He became a provincial court judge in 1991 where he served until assuming the Lieutenant Governor’s post in September.
