MPBN presents an informative special program called "Financial Aid for College," designed to help students and parents negotiate the process for getting loans, grants and scholarships to help fund the pursuit of higher learning.

We talk with students and parents who have been through the process, examine the maze of funding options available and chat with experts who guide viewers through the completion of the federal FAFSA form. Representatives from schools, lenders and government agencies discuss what funding help is available and answer questions from viewers.

Hosted by Ann Murray, the program also follows the experiences of Libby family of Norridgewock. Parents Lou and Katherine have twice gone through the financial aid process—first with  their son, who has since graduated and is repaying his student loans, and then with their daughter, a student at the University of Maine.

If someone you know is heading off to college soon, "Financial Aid for College"  could very well be the most invaluable and time-saving program he or she watches this year.
