MPBN On-Air Staff

Suzanne Nance, Music Director, host of Morning Classical Music

Nance joined MPBN in September 2007. She was most recently host and producer for Aspen Public Radio in Colorado, where she provided special coverage of the Aspen Music Festival and School during the 2007 season.

 

Suzanne formerly served as Professor of Voice on the faculty of the Cappelli Institute of Music in Chicago and regularly conducted master classes and seminars for young performers. As a performer, Nance has most recently sung in Prague, Czech Republic,Chicago, Boston, New York and London, appearing in operas such as Cosi fan tutte, Madama Butterfly and Little Women.

 

In recognition of her commitment to the arts and classical music, Nance was awarded 2006 and 2007 CAAP (Community Arts Assistance Program) Grants from the city of Chicago and is a past recipient of the David Leibig Memorial Grant.
