Auction Clerk

Looking for a way to combine your people and computer skills working for a good cause? The Great Television Auction, based in at our facility in Lewiston and a significant fundraising activity for MPBN, needs an individual to support Auction full time by soliciting donations, and assisting in bid confirmation and customer service after the sale. You may also assist in arrangements for special events, and assist in maintaining an orderly inventory. You should have engaging and persuasive written and oral communication skills and have strong computer skills. Familiarity with public television and the Great TV Auction is a plus.

Systems Engineer

We have a full-time position in our Bangor facility for an IT Systems Engineer to install, maintain, troubleshoot computer networking equipment. A major portion of the position involves highly-skilled design and maintenance of complex systems and their connectivity. You will be responsible for designing, installing and repairing, at the board level, all computer equipment and systems; operating complex technical equipment to ensure technical compliance with FCC regulations and departmental standards; providing technical assistance and training to systems users; recommending and estimating budgets on purchases of equipment; maintaining accurate maintenance and wiring records. Since MPBN is a broadcasting facility, you may also be required to perform duties of a technical operator for purposes of assistance in program creation and emergency situations, and to perform all duties of a systems technician. Requirements of the position include an Associate’s degree in computer or networking technology or related field with a strong foundation in networking technologies and application support preferred. Must have excellent communication skills and three years’ experience in a technology-related field with extensive background in equipment maintenance and networking.
