Description:

This absolutely stunning sculpture is a visual feast.  A black painted steel fish is fashioned from shapes reminiscent of a Calder mobile. The fish is quite a catch, measuring 5 feet long and 28 inches high.  It floats on a pivot which will allow it to turn in a breeze a full 360 degrees. The fish is mounted on a lovely granite column measuring three inches deep by 5 inches wide and five feet high, with a black steel base.  The base is ready to be attached to the huge concrete slab, which is prebolted and ready to be partially buried in the ground. This piece would not surprise if it were in a museum sculpture garden.  Sculptor Stephen Salvatore Fasciana is affiliated with Studio 220 in Standish.
