Description:
This dynamic watercolor on paper, with touches of crayon, pastel and gouache, is titled 'Bad Little Falls.' In waves of energy and bands of light, the river tumbles over gray and brown boulders. The water is illuminated by the sun into sinuous curves of yellow, blue, brown and black against the bright green tree line on the distant bank. This strong piece is matted in white within a narrow metal frame measuring 27 by 28 inches. Artist Greg Henderson teaches painting, drawing and illustration as a professor of art at the University of Maine at Machias. His work has been shown throughout the Northeast and he has written and illustrated adult and children's stories.
