Description:

This is a lovely oil on board by Mitch Billis of Boothbay Harbor titled ‘Garden Gate.’  Looking down the garden wall, the black curved gate invites us into the lush garden, which is illuminated by green from the tree canopy to the soft grass. An umbrella of pink flowers graces the flowering tree, while in the foreground petals in tones of blue, pink and white dance before our eyes. The foliage is soft and serene in this fine painting within a gold-washed plein air frame of 18 by 22 inches. Artist Billis is represented by Billis Fine Art of Boothbay Harbor.  His works are in numerous private and corporate collections, and have been featured in several publications.
