Description:

 There is a quiet and thoughtful mood that pervades this fine oil on canvas titled 'Light Window-Pemaquid Point' by artist Brian Kliewer. The texture of the shady side of the Pemaquid light tower is suggested by subtle tones of pink and green. The darkening light is reflected by the panes of the lone window. The soft blue sky descends to the lighter horizon above the thin line of the visible ocean. The vast spaces of sky and sea are only suggested in this work, which is within a broad silver painted liner and frame measuring 14 by 17 inches. Artist Kliewer is widely collected throughout the United States, with more than 30 works in the former MBNA America and other corporate collections. His works have been included in exhibitions throughout New England and the Eastern Seaboard.
