Description:

This unique oil on canvas paints a story for us to ponder.  Light partially illuminates the floor and bedpost, and on its journey causes the bed sheets to glow. Partially visualized, a figure seems to shrink into the corner of the large bed, reading a newspaper or journal in quiet shelter.  The monochromatic browns of the room add to its depth, mystery and timelessness. This work is within a graceful wood frame of 19 by 23 inches. Artist Sawyer lives in Casco.  Her works are in private collections in the United States and Europe and in corporate collections throughout New England.
