Description:

This excellent Acrylic on wood panel is titled 'Near Dodge Point'. The quiet water reflects the shafts of clouds in the sky striated in bands of soft blue and creamy white. The limbs of the trees stretch like dancers in costumes of leafy green to the music of the breeze on this superb summer day. Even the earth is curved and soft as it slopes towards the shore. This painting is pigmented to the edge of the wood self-frame, so it may either be hung as is or framed anew. It measures a generous 30 by 36 inches. Artist Dahmen has had several reviews in the Boston Globe and single woman gallery shows throughout Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine. Her works have hung in the White House and American embassies, been published by Unicef, and have been in the Biennial Juried Exhibition at the Center for Maine Contemporary Art in Rockport. She is represented by Firehouse Gallery of Damariscotta.
