Glass by James Michael

Contemporary Hand Blown Glass Vessel

Glass by James Michael

Donated by: Glass by James Michael

Value:   $3,000

Description:

This is the 9th in a series of ten works produced each year for PBS, collectively known as "The PBS Blues." Created by internationally recognized Hot Glass Artist James Michael Kahle of Rockford, Ohio, each glass vessel is a combination of ancient and modern techniques which is signed, numbered and exclusively identified by the Artist. Mr. Kahle’s vessels have united two elements that until recently have been physically impossible to combine; metal and glass, but after six years of persistence and 2,500 broken pieces it is Mr. Kahle’s pleasure to introduce the impossible; a one-of-a-kind contemporary blue hand-blown glass vessel, with a mixture of brass, bronze, nickel, chromium and zinc totally immersed in the glass, measuring up to 18” diameter at the top, 14” high, and worth of your consideration.
