Description:

This wonderful, whimsical creation with stone, metal and fabric in natural tones of gray and copper, against purple and turquoise panels, combines natural and mechanical worlds. The stone, set like a gem, is suspended like a pendulum by metal strands. The copper piece suggests a warrior with a golden breastplate.  This work measures 2 inches deep by 6 inches wide and 12 inches high. Artist Lauren Pollaro became involved in graphic arts soon after college and was the art director at several magazines. She creates wearable art and other works in her studio in York.
