Description:

On a rocky bluff overlooking a lone dory at its mooring stands a noble sentinel tree. Lithe grasses dance in the foreground.  The sky, with pastel tones of pink and gold and clouds in shades of gray, is reflected in the still waters, with islands at the horizon.  This work is double matted in buff and white under glass within a copper toned composite frame of 18 by 22 inches. Artist and teacher Horton paints the natural land and seascapes of Maine, and exhibits her work at the High Street Studio & Gallery in Belfast.
