Description:

The regal fish gracefully dives towards the viewer in this delicate watercolor painting in the Asian brush style.  The fish, a Koi, is from a Japanese garden pool.  Its shimmering colors seem sunlit, in tones of orange, golden yellow, purple, mauve and brown.  This work is matted in white under glass in an antiqued gold wood frame of 16 by 20 inches.Artist Kigel has studied traditional Asian brush painting in Asia and the U.S. She has been praised by art critic Philip Isaacson, and has exhibited in venues in Maine and along the Eastern seaboard. She is represented by Archipelago Gallery of Rockland.
