Description:

This is an accomplished soft pastel on acid free paper which captures the expanse and color of the blueberry barrens of Maine.  Under a star-studded night sky, an unseen moon illuminates the fields in their cloak of rust, magenta, orange and gold.  The dark green forest separates landscape from sky, and contrasts the white storage barn in the background. This fine work is matted in white under glass in a 23 by 30 inch gold washed wood frame with a thin blue accent line. Artist Loughridge has been in many invitational and juried shows in mid-coast Maine.  She is represented by Archipelago of Rockland, Pemaquid Art Gallery of New Harbor and West Island Gallery of Georgetown.
