The Maine woods come alive in this lovely acrylic on gessoed masonic panel. Light splashes across the birch tree and the lakeside boulders, inviting us into the depth of the lush green woods. The transparent water reveals the rocky bottom and the detail of water, rock and tree growth is remarkable. This work is 10 by13 inches in its natural wood floating frame. Artist Field has garnered several major awards, and has shown his work in juried shows at the Farnsworth Art Museum, The Center for Maine Contemporary Art, the 2008 Harvard Club Masters Invitational Show, and Bates College. He is affiliated with Boston’s prestigious Copley Society of Art.
