This abstract yet concrete watercolor drew its inspiration from harvesting mussels on a Penobscot Bay island. Bright purple muscles cluster together, sharing their stories of life on the Maine coast with their cousins the periwinkles. Soft fingers of orange seaweed float in the clear water. This vibrant painting is matted in white under glass in a blond wood Scandinavian frame of 15 by 18 inches. Works by plein air artist Knight have been selected for many juried art exhibits, and are in collections both here and abroad.
