Description:
The open doorway does beckon us into the house in this fine pastel on sanded paper. The soft green foliage directs our steps, and the pink stucco of the walls softens the brown carved wood door. This painting is matted in ivory under glass in a gold-washed wood frame measuring 16 by 18 inches. Artist deLesseps won the 2006 Degas Pastel Society Award of Merit. Her fine landscape works are represented in Maine by Redfield Artisans Gallery in Northeast Harbor.
