In this fine pastel, the golden sun and the yellow canoe are sister and brother, as they paint the rippling water with their shimmering light. Against sapphire blue water framed by the deep woods, the trio in the vessel gently moves in the pond as the promise of the cast awaits contact with the water. This work is matted in white under glass within a broad black wood frame measuring 20 by 24 inches. Artist Proctor creates works in watercolor, pastel, acrylic and mixed media from her studio in Fairfield.
