Description:

The bold brushstrokes of this oil on canvas symbolize the sturdy farmhouse and strong work ethic of the Pennsylvania farmer. The colors of the house and out buildings are brown and gray, but the scene is lightened by the pinks, blues and greens of the sky, reflected in the tree and magnified by the green shrubs and grass. This work is within an unusual massive natural wood frame with subtle accents of green patina measuring 3 inches deep by 21 inches high and 24 inches wide. The construction of the frame also echoes the strength of the structures and their occupants.
