Description:

The plump killdeer frolics like a child in a warm bath in this fine gouache on archival matboard entitled “Summer Pleasure “ by Julie Babb of Pemaquid. The blue-green water sprays against the rust background, and is whipped into froth by the beating wings of the finely detailed bird with feathers of gray, white and rust.  This work is under glass within a French-ruled mat and a dark toned custom wood frame of 18 by 22 inches. Artist and art teacher Babb has been recognized by numerous awards. She is represented by River Gallery of Damariscotta, Duck Trap Bay Trading Co. of Camden and the Pemaquid Art Gallery of Pemaquid.
