Description:

There is a most pleasant deception about this fine acrylic on canvas by Lewiston painter Robert Gibson entitled “Still Life with Blue Vase”. The deception is that the blue in the vase is only the initial color. It actually is a rainbow of lush colors, reflecting the neighboring vibrant array of vegetables and fruits and the underlying draped cloths in turquoise and peach. Peppers, squash, pumpkins and apples sing a chorus of autumn in their costumes of red, green, orange, and yellow.  The green veined leaves of the plant reach out to shelter the valuable gems of the harvest.  This lush interior landscape is in a simple natural wood frame measuring 31 by 33 inches.
