Italian Teapot ($110) - Hand-painted in Deruta, Italy, this unusually generous teapot will be a welcome addition to your breakfast table, or on display in your china cabinet. Reds and greens augment the handsome black rooster on the side of this earthenware teapot. This could be a great gift, if you can bear to give it away.
8 Demitasse Cups and Saucers ($176) - These lively “Vigna” red demitasse are hand painted with thorny and twisting vines and pink rosebuds. Made in Deruta, Italy, these earthenware pieces will charm an Italophile, and would make a perfect after dinner Espresso set or a hot chocolate party set for the girls.
Terracotta Statue ($220) - We have a unique 14” tall terracotta statue of a woman carrying pots to sell at the local market. Hand-made is Puglia in the south of Italy, this traditionally dressed signora can be converted into a charming table lamp. Statuary such as this, date back to pre-Christian times, when they were made as household goddesses.
Candle Holder ($130) - A Medieval myth tells of a young groom who wanted to see his forbidden bride so much that he dressed in women’s clothes drag to seek her out. This amusing statue of a bearded gentleman dressed in yellow, green and blue frills riding a befuddled horse is actually a candleholder, but can be converted into a lamp.
3 Containers ($84) - Hand-made is Sicily, Italy, these three glazed terracotta containers are ready to be filled with whatever you want….candles, olives, m&m’s, African violets, change…you name it. These little coordinated squares will fit nicely in a kitchen or on your desk.
2 Cache Pots ($120 )- We have 2 matching Cache Pots, hand-painted in blues and deep red, by craftsmen of Sicily, Italy. Designed with a matching flowerpot, they are a fine size for herbs or other small flowering plants. Because water can be retained in the round cachepot, plants will need less attention.
