New Episode: Out of the Way Gourmets

Episode #1909

Fine dining is easy to find if you live in the city. But what if you live in, say, Greenville Junction, or Fort Fairfield, or Isle au Haut? No problem, as you’ll see in this episode on “out-of-the-way gourmets.” The Made in Maine crew visits Abbie Freethy, trained at the Culinary Institute of America, and now known as the Northwoods Gourmet Girl at her Little Leaf Café in Greenville Junction. Also profiled are the French-trained chefs in the Aroostook County town of Fort Fairfield and their gourmet dining room, Canterbury Royale. We’ll sample wild game prepared by chef Diana Santospago at the Inn on Isle au Haut. And we’ll meet the editors of Maine’s newest gourmet magazine, “Edible Coastal Maine.” A Maine gourmand’s dream episode!
