FairPoint is now the phone company for most Mainers, but the full transition from Verizon, called the “cutover,” has been delayed. This announcement came in the midst of problems with three 911 communications centers. What does this all mean for Maine citizens? Will FairPoint be ready to handle Maine’s phone lines in November?
