Summit Gathers Strategists On Preventing Spread Of Milfoil

It's a jungle out there...in Maine lakes and ponds. More than two dozen of them are now home to the invasive species known as Variable Leaf Milfoil, an aggressive aquatic plant that grows as tall as a refrigerator, chokes off native plants, degrades fish habitat and makes life miserable for boaters and swimmers. The good news is that Maine has nearly 6,000 other bodies of water that are currently "infestation free," and as Susan Sharon reports there are some new strategies for keeping it at bay.
