Measure to Revamp School Consolidation Approved

The House and Senate today approved a revamped school consolidaton measure that supporters say gives more flexiblity to school districts. The strength of the votes has Governor John Baldacci on the defensive about his original proposal. And while the new bill was created as a "technical fixer upper," the governor says it now threatens to unravel the entire school consolidation process. A.J. Higgins has more.
