Reusable Grocery Bags Encouraged

Here's an ambitious goal: over the next three-and-a-half weeks convince half of all Maine shoppers to switch from plastic grocery bags to reuseable ones. This week the Maine House and Senate passed non-binding orders to encourage that behavior and to try to get consumers to recycle plastic bags. The idea is to raise awareness and to make the switch by Earth Day. And as Susan Sharon reports the effort is being largely driven by a man whose wife has dubbed him "Mr. Ecology."
