Aside from their interest in jump-starting their careers, raising families and meeting like-minded people, many share a passion for protecting the environment. At least that's the premise behind "TNC Next," the next and younger generation of supporters of The Nature Conservancy. This week the Maine chapter of the conservation organization invited prospective members to a kickoff party at the Ocean Gateway in Portland. As Susan Sharon reports, environmental groups are finding that it's not too hard to engage young people even without the free food and drinks.
