SNAP To Advertise Outreach for Sex Abuse Victims

Maine members of SNAP, the "Survivors Network of Those Abused by Priests," are launching a new campaign on behalf of clergy sex abuse victims. At a news briefing today outside the Roman Catholic Chancery in Portland, SNAP leaders denounced Bishop Richard Malone for failing to help the organization "find and heal
others in pain." Bishop Malone was unavailable to receive a letter hand-delivered to the Chancery asking for his assistance. But a spokesperson for the chancery says the Bishop does reach out to victims, and he always will. Keith McKeen reports.
