MPBN and the Maine Center for the Arts are thrilled to announce that A Prairie Home Companion is coming the Bangor Auditorium for a performance and a live national radio broadcast on Saturday, May 3, 2008! And, as with all programs airing on MPBN radio, we'll also be streaming it live over the Internet.
Tickets for this event are on sale now at the Maine Center for the Arts box office, or by phone at 207-581-1755 or toll-free at 800-MCA-TIXX. Prices range from $25 to $60, depending on seat location, with a portion of the ticket prices going directly to MPBN, so not only will you see a great show, you’ll also be supporting public broadcasting in Maine. The show will be broadcast live across hundreds of public radio stations across the country.
The May 2008 show date might seem like a long way off, but these tickets are sure to sell out quickly. If you’ve ever wanted to see Garrison Keillor, Guy’s All-Star Shoe Band, the Royal Academy of Radio Actors and the whole crew that makes this the premier live radio show in the country, don’t miss your opportunity to buy tickets now.
We’ll have more about Garrison’s guests for the program, as well as any additional information about opportunities to meet members of the cast, as the show gets closer. A Prairie Home Companion airs live on MPBN Saturday evenings at 6:00 pm, with a rebroadcast at noon on Sundays.
