The Maine Public Broadcasting Network established the Beacon Society to recognize the support of generous donors who provide annual gifts totaling $1,000 or more. These donors believe that MPBN is an essential organization with statewide impact achieved through its public radio and television broadcast services, its educational outreach initiatives and its collaboration with other organizations and agencies. Through its Web-based services, the global reach of MPBN continues to advance the organization’s mission far beyond the reach of its broadcast signals.

Beacon Society Benefits

With annual gifts totaling $1,000 and above

• The option to designate a gift(s) between radio and/or television program support, or to leave gifts unrestricted.
• Recognition in MPBN’s Annual Report, program guides and Web site.
• A personal tour of our Portland, Lewiston or Bangor radio and television production facilities.
• Invitations to special events.
• Borrowing privileges to the MPBN video (VHS) and DVD lending library.
• One-year subscription to "Experience" magazine, the program guide for MPBN.
• One-year gift subscription to "Experience" magazine for a friend.
• Tax deduction to the extent allowed by law.
