Employer Matching Gift Programs
If you work for, or are retired from, a community-minded
company in Maine or elsewhere, your contribution to the
Maine Public
Broadcasting Network could be at least twice as valuable
through employer matching gift programs. (Click
here for companies that match employee contributions to
the Maine
Public Broadcasting Network.) Your employer, or former
employer if you are a retiree, may match your gift dollar
for dollar--some
companies will even double or triple the amount of your
gift!
Ask your personnel office for a matching gift form. Complete
the form and mail it to the Membership Office.
Gifts of Stock & Other Assets
Giving stock and other appreciated assets
to the Maine Public Broadcasting Network is a great way to
make a donation
and may provide tax advantages to you. It is possible that
you
could receive a tax deduction for the market value of the
security or asset without incurring capital gains tax.
We recommend that you consult with your tax advisor or
attorney
about this kind of transaction. Usually, the easiest way
to make a gift is by an Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT).
The staff at the Maine Public Broadcasting will guide you
through
the transfer process or, if you prefer, work directly with
your broker.
Contact Major Gifts through
e-mail.
Or, call 800-884-1717.
