The search for a missing Glenburn girl has now become a homicide investigation. Authorities say a body found in an undisclosed wooded area of Maine is likely that of Cable, 15.
Kyle Dube, 20, of Orono has been charged with murder in the case, Penobscot County Sheriff's Department officials said this morning at a Bangor news conference. Dube (right) turned himself in to Penobscot Sheriff's deputies Friday on an unrelated traffic offense.
Cable disappeared more than a week ago, on May 12. Her mother said that her daughter was last seen when she went outside to see someone she'd met over the Internet.
Cable's body was found Monday night in a wooded area off Route 43 in Old Town, officials say. The investigation into the killing has been turned over to the Maine State Police.
