Patrik Ian Arsenault, a special education teacher in Wayne and recently hired as one in Farmington, is charged with sexually assaulting two Clinton boys.

AUGUSTA, Maine (AP) _ State police say the investigation into a former Maine special education teacher charged with sexually assaulting two boys is continuing.

Patrik Ian Arsenault, a special education teacher in Wayne and recently hired as one in Farmington, is charged with sexually assaulting two Clinton boys, ages 6 and 7, this summer in Belgrade.

Investigators allegedly found recordings of the assaults at the 27-year-old Arsenault's Norridgewock residence and he told police he traded child pornography via email.

Steve McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Safety, tells the Morning Sentinel the State Police Computer Crimes Unit plans to thoroughly mine the data on Arsenault's computer and other electronic devices as part of the investigation.

Arsenault is being held on $100,000 bail. It's unclear if he has a lawyer.
