Sunday Nights at 9:00 pm to Midnight
Only On The Radio Stations of MPBN

Jazz has long been synonymous with the radio stations of the Maine Public Broadcasting Network, and the tradition continues every Sunday night with host Rich Tozier. Music from the legends, the up-and-comers and even the occasional live in-studio performance are all featured for three hours every Sunday beginning at 9:00 pm.

The Deer Head Inn in Delaware Water Gap, PA, bills itself as "the oldest continuously running jazz club in the country." Many jazz luminaries have settled in the area and invited their friends to join them in making music. The club has spawned a label which releases live performances from the Inn. We'll sample its first four releases which feature, among others, vibist Joe Locke, guitarists Vic Juris and Bucky Pizzarelli and pianist John Coates.
