Welcome to Music That Moves ME 2014!
The much heralded Music That Moves ME project returns to MPBN radio this June celebrating the power of music across Maine in a high-profile series of audio diaries produced by MPBN.
Each day, MPBN Radio will share very special audio clips featuring people from across Maine talking about a specific piece of music that has inspired them or impacted their life in some way. Interviewees have been encouraged to choose any song or piece, from any genre of music, and tell their tale.
The Music That Moves ME audio diaries will air just after The Writer’s Almanac with anticipated rebroadcasts during Maine Things Considered, In Tune By Ten and during other programs throughout the week. Additionally, the audio diaries will be shared online and through MPBN’s social media.
This initiative is multifaceted and will include listeners submitting their own written or self-produced musical memories, an instrument donation drive for needy youth across the state and the creation of a single day of free music at select venues across the state.
Be sure to participate and listen in!
